Delivery & Setup Technician – Office Technology | Lincoln, NE

Capital Business Systems | Full-Time | Monday–Friday | No Nights, No Weekends

About the Role

Capital Business Systems has been delivering reliable office technology solutions across Nebraska, Colorado, Wyoming, and New Mexico since 1982. We're looking for a detail-oriented, mechanically curious Delivery & Setup Technician to join our Lincoln team.

This is a hands-on role where no two days look exactly the same. You'll assemble and test copiers, printers, and multifunction devices in our warehouse, then deliver and install them at customer locations — walking clients through their new equipment before you leave. If you like working with your hands, take pride in doing things right the first time, and want a schedule that actually lets you have a life outside of work, this is a solid fit.

Why Capital Business Systems?

We've been locally owned and operated for 44+ years, and we know that good technicians are hard to find and worth taking care of.

  • Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm — nights and weekends are yours, every week
  • Competitive wage based on your experience
  • No benefits waiting period — comprehensive benefits start within your first full month of employment.
  • PTO accrual starts immediately — not after 90 days
  • A stable, established team — you're not joining a startup; you're joining a company with over four decades of roots in this region
  • Ongoing training — we keep you current as products and technology evolve

What You'll Do

  • Assemble, configure, and test copiers, printers, and multifunction devices prior to delivery
  • Deliver and install equipment at customer locations across the Lincoln area
  • Walk customers through their new equipment and answer questions on-site
  • Perform warehouse duties including organizing gear and prepping orders for delivery
  • Maintain your work vehicle — keeping it clean, fueled, and stocked
  • Document service and installation work accurately
  • Troubleshoot basic hardware and connectivity issues as needed
  • Maintain a professional, positive presence at every customer site

What We're Looking For

  • No prior experience required — we'll train the right person
  • Background in electronics, mechanics, or hands-on technical work is a plus
  • Vocational/technical education helpful; natural mechanical aptitude is what matters most
  • Strong attention to detail and solid organizational habits — you'll be prepping installs and can't forget parts once you're on-site
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Professional communicator — you'll interact with customers at every delivery
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record and current auto insurance (required)
  • Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and maneuver heavy equipment with assistance
  • Basic computer proficiency — Microsoft Office, tablets, and handheld devices

If you're looking for a stable, Monday–Friday role where you can work with your hands, grow your technical skills, and be home for dinner — we'd like to hear from you.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability
Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026
Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
